Stop Shouting Start Breathing:

HOW TO FIND PEACE IN THE LIFE YOU ALREADY LIVE

STEP OUT OF SURVIVAL AND MOVE TO CALMER REACTIONS

You’re not failing. You’re overwhelmed.

You swore you wouldn’t snap at your child. Yet here you are again - shouting, then drowning in guilt, apologising, promising you’ll do better.

You love your child fiercely, but the endless demands, advocacy battles, sensory storms and invisible pressures have pushed you to the edge. Your nervous system is maxed out. Calm feels impossible.

I know because I’ve been there. You’re not weak or broken. You’re living under chronic stress, and your reactions are a human response to an impossible load.

This free live workshop on Friday 17 October is the support I wish I’d had years ago. Wherever you’re based, whatever your child’s needs, you are very welcome here.

You’re allowed to do this for you.

This isn’t about putting your needs ahead of your child’s - it’s about learning to meet your own needs alongside theirs. Because you matter too.

I know what you’re thinking: “I don’t have time for one more thing.” This isn’t one more thing. This is a one-hour space to start feeling human again. It won’t take you away from your family - it will give you more capacity to support them.

You’re allowed to give yourself permission to do this. You’re allowed to consider your own needs. You deserve a space with no judgement, where you can be authentic and understood.

What this free workshop is:

On 17 October 2025 we’ll come together live for Stop Shouting, Start Breathing: How to Find Peace in the Life You Already Live.

This isn’t an overwhelming programme. It’s a single, gentle but powerful session where you'll learn how to:

- Understand what’s happening in your body when you react

- Soothe your nervous system in the moment

- Soften the inner critic and find small glimmers of joy

- Start weaving these practices into your real life so they last

The replay will be available for one week after the workshop.

How you’ll start to feel after this workshop

From: overstimulated, stressed, at capacity, shouting at your kids, drowning in guilt.

To: feeling calmer, clearer on what’s happening inside you, with practical steps you can actually use in the moment.

You’ll leave the workshop with a roadmap to start shifting from reactive to regulated - and a sense that you’re not broken, you’re human.

What we’ll cover together.

Warm validation: If you’ve shouted this morning, you’re still welcome here.

Recap and reveal: The key pieces every parent needs to know about nervous system overload, micro-regulation and self-compassion.

Daily rhythms: How to build supportive rhythms without adding time you don’t have.

Your values: Making choices from who you want to be rather than the crisis you’re in.

Live practice: A short breathing and values check-in you can take away and use straight away.

Next steps: Where to go from here if you’d like more support.

Why this space matters.

Short and realistic. A single live workshop. Replay for one week.

No judgement. A safe space with other parents who understand life at this intensity.

Practical tools you can actually use. Nothing dramatic or life-changing required - just small shifts that fit the life you already live.

Free. Take what you need from the workshop.

About Emma.

Emma McDonnell is a parent-carer, neurodivergent mum and someone who has lived the relentlessness of this life. She’s been where you are: navigating EHCPs (IEPs), managing explosive behaviours, living on edge. After leaving a 20-year marketing career to put her family first, she had to figure out how to not lose herself completely.

Now Emma uses what she’s learned (and what she’s still learning) to support other parents who are carrying too much and getting too little in return. She believes every parent deserves the same compassion we give our children. This is about reclaiming space without guilt - and knowing someone else really does get it.

Emma isn’t here to tell you what to do. But she is here to say you’re not alone - and there are ways to breathe again.

Do I need to live in the UK?

No. This workshop is open to anyone who feels it would benefit them - everyone is welcome.

Does my child need a diagnosis?

No. Parenting can be tough. Parenting neurodivergent children can feel brutal at times. This workshop is designed to support you regardless of diagnosis or suspected neurodivergence. If you find yourself snapping, overwhelmed, or struggling to react how you want, you’re welcome here.

What time is the workshop in my country?

The live workshop is at 11:00am UK BST.

This is approximately 9:00pm Sydney AEDT / 6:00am New York EDT.

Please check your own local time zone to be sure.

What if I can’t make it live?

No problem - you’ll get the replay for one week after the workshop.

Do I need to have done the 4-day course?

No. This workshop is open to everyone.

Is it really free?

Yes. Take what you need from the workshop.

You'll join my newsletter where I share honest support and tools for parents who are in it too. I’ll only pop into your inbox when I have something real to share, and you can leave anytime.
